Steps to Justice has updated information about changes that take effect in January 2025: Employment Insurance (EI) amounts rent increases EI benefits increased on January 1, 2025. The new maximum amount is $695 a week or $417 a week, depending on the type of benefit. The guideline rent increase for 2025 is 2.5%.
