It lets them apply for permanent residence if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>they came to Canada under the age of 19,<\/li>\n<li>a child protection agency or authority, such as a Children&#8217;s Aid Society in Ontario, was legally responsible for their care for at least 1 year because of a court order, and<\/li>\n<li>they meet other conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>People must apply by <strong>January 21, 2027<\/strong>.
