A credit report can include both &quot;credit information&quot; and &quot;personal information&quot;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Credit information<\/strong> includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tyour name, age, and job title<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tyour spouse&#39;s name and age, if you are married or in a common-law relationship<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\thow many children and other dependents you have<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tyour address now and where you have lived in the past<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tyour education and work qualifications, such as diplomas, degrees, and trade licences<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\twhere you work and your past jobs<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tyour estimated income<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tyour assets, such as your home or car<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\twhether you have paid your bills on time, paid them late, or have bills that you have not paid at all<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tyour debts, for example car loans and credit card balances<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tyour regular living expenses, for example rent or mortgage payments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The credit information in your report must come from the most reliable sources the agency can find. For example, if the hydro company claims you owe them money, they should be able to supply copies of your unpaid bills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Personal information<\/strong> can be almost anything else that is not credit information. Personal information often includes information about your character, reputation, health, physical characteristics, and personal habits.<\/p>\n<p>Unfavourable personal information cannot be included in your credit report unless the agency has made reasonable efforts to confirm that it is true.
