The government usually increases these rates each year on October 1.<\/p>\n<p>The rates listed below are for the period of October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>In most jobs, you must be paid at least the general minimum wage of <strong>$17.60<\/strong> an hour.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re a homeworker, you must be paid at least <strong>$19.35<\/strong> an hour. Homeworkers are employees who do work out of their own homes. This is often called a pay stub.<\/p>\n<p>Your pay stub must be <strong>in writing<\/strong>. Your employer can give you a paper copy, email it to you, or keep it in a secure online database that&#8217;s used for payroll.<\/p>\n<p>If your employer emails it or uses an online database, they must make sure that you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have the technical skills to get your pay stub,<\/li>\n<li>can use email or the database at work, and<\/li>\n<li>can print a copy at work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your pay stub must include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the pay period that it covers,<\/li>\n<li>your rate of pay, for example, how much you make in an hour,<\/li>\n<li>your wages for that period, before and after any deductions, and<\/li>\n<li>the amount and reason for any deductions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What are deductions?<\/h2>\n<p>There are &#8220;statutory deductions&#8221; that your employer must take from your pay.
