Taking part in decision-making"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Every resident has the right to have their participation in decision-making respected.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #db7e06;\"><strong>In other words:<\/strong><\/span> <strong>You have the right to be involved in decisions about all aspects of your life in the home.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You have the right to be told about medications or medical treatments that are recommended for you.<\/p>\n<p>You also have the right to be asked about other decisions. For example, staff at the home should ask you what you like to eat and what activities you want to do.<\/p>\n<p>You may not have the final decision. But the home should let you be a part of all decisions. This means that they should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>tell you about changes they&#8217;re thinking about making and give you the information you need to understand what&#8217;s being decided,<\/li>\n<li>ask for your ideas and listen to what you say,<\/li>\n<li>tell you about the Residents&#8217; Council, and<\/li>\n<li>do what you ask whenever possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-46194","publications-page","type-publications-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>3.
