Independence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Every resident has the right to receive care and assistance towards independence based on a restorative care philosophy to maximize independence to the greatest extent possible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #DB7E06;\"><strong>In other words:<\/strong><\/span> <strong>You have the right to get help to become as independent as you can be.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For example, you might get help to improve your walking or to go to the bathroom on your own.<\/p>\n<p>You have the right to take part in programs at the home that help you to be as independent as possible or do more things for yourself. For example, this might be getting physiotherapy or going to exercise groups.<\/p>\n<p>You have this right even if you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>are living with cognitive changes or have limits to what you can do physically,<\/li>\n<li>need extra help to leave your room, or<\/li>\n<li>cannot leave your room.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-46220","publications-page","type-publications-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>23.
