{"id":46433,"date":"2021-03-25T18:54:34","date_gmt":"2021-03-25T22:54:34","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2026-05-06T09:46:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T13:46:00","slug":"getting-child-support","status":"publish","type":"publications-page","link":"https:\/\/www.cleo.on.ca\/en\/publications-page\/getting-child-support","title":{"rendered":"Getting child support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you apply for or are getting assistance from OW or ODSP, they will not force you to try to get child support.<\/p>\n<p>But if you do get child support payments, you must tell them.<\/p>\n<h2>Reporting child support<\/h2>\n<p>If you get the same amount of child support as you got the month before, you do not have to report it.<\/p>\n<p>But if the amount you get goes up or down, you have to tell OW or ODSP.
