So you usually cannot get both.<\/p>\n<p>It may be possible to get <strong>CPP retirement benefits<\/strong> and EI regular benefits at the same time. But the CPP amount will be taken off your EI benefits.<\/p>\n<h2>Workers&#8217; compensation benefits<\/h2>\n<p>The rules are more complicated for workers&#8217; compensation benefits. In Ontario, these benefits are called <strong>Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) benefits<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a good idea to apply for EI benefits, even if you&#8217;re also applying for WSIB benefits. But it&#8217;s important to tell the WSIB about any EI benefits you get.<\/p>\n<p>Get legal help if you think you might qualify for both. See Where can I get help and information?<\/p>\n<h2>EI sickness benefits<\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re getting or applying for <strong>EI sickness benefits<\/strong>, you can also apply for WSIB or CPP.<\/p>\n<p>The rules for EI sickness benefits are not covered in this resource.
