{"id":46804,"date":"2012-04-27T19:30:07","date_gmt":"2012-04-27T23:30:07","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2025-05-14T16:18:40","modified_gmt":"2025-05-14T20:18:40","slug":"traveling-child","status":"publish","type":"publications-page","link":"https:\/\/www.cleo.on.ca\/en\/publications-page\/traveling-child","title":{"rendered":"Can a parent travel with a child?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Before travelling with a child, a parent should check their agreement or court order to see if they:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>need the other parent&#8217;s permission to travel<\/li>\n<li>have to give the other parent information about their travel plans, such as flight details and contact numbers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To avoid delays or being refused entry or exit at the border, it is safest to have a <strong>travel consent letter<\/strong> signed by the other parent.
