The TDC Program is paid for by Legal Aid Ontario. TDC are lawyers and community legal workers who can give basic advice, help work out settlements with landlords, and review and help fill out some forms and documents, especially ones related to eviction. Sometimes they can help at hearings with simple or emergency steps.<\/p>\n<p>You can sign up for TDC services at <a href=\"https:\/\/tdc.acto.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tdc.acto.ca<\/a>. You can also call your local community legal clinic to find out more about this service.<\/p>\n<p>You can contact the <strong>Landlord and Tenant Board<\/strong> (LTB) for forms and for general information. The LTB cannot give you legal advice.<\/p>\n<p>The LTB&#8217;s website address is <a href=\"https:\/\/tribunalsontario.ca\/ltb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tribunalsontario.ca\/ltb<\/a>. You can call the LTB at <strong>1\u2011888\u2011332\u20113234<\/strong> or <strong>416\u2011645\u20118080<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Pro Bono Ontario has a legal advice hotline at <strong>1-855-255-7256<\/strong>. You may be able to get up to 30 minutes of free legal advice.<\/p>\n<p>CLEO&#8217;s <strong>Steps to Justice<\/strong> is a website that gives step-by-step information about common legal problems, including housing law issues. Steps to Justice has practical tools like forms and checklists, and referral information for legal and social services.
