{"id":45404,"date":"2008-06-01T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2008-06-01T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2025-01-14T10:50:35","modified_gmt":"2025-01-14T15:50:35","slug":"spon-en","status":"publish","type":"publications","link":"https:\/\/www.cleo.on.ca\/en\/publications\/spon-en","title":{"rendered":"Do you want to sponsor your family to join you in Canada?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You may be able to sponsor your family members who are outside Canada to come and live here as permanent residents if you are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a Canadian citizen,<\/li>\n<li>a permanent resident, or<\/li>\n<li>registered under the Indian Act.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You must also be 18 years or older.<\/p>\n<p>There is a fee to apply. And there are &#8220;income guidelines&#8221; which say how much money a sponsor must earn. But, in most cases, the guidelines do not apply if you are sponsoring a spouse, partner, or child.<\/p>\n<p>You must also meet other conditions and give all the information that the sponsorship application asks for.
