What can I do if my assistance is cut off or reduced?

Ask for the decision in writing immediately.

You can appeal to the Social Benefits Tribunal (SBT). The SBT is independent from OW and ODSP and has the power to cancel the decision.

But first you must write to the office that made the decision to cut off or reduce your assistance and ask for an internal review.

For more details and a form that you can use to request an internal review, see the CLEO publication called Appeals and internal reviews. To find out how to order it, click here.
