New booklet available – Residents’ Bill of Rights: Your rights if you live in a long-term care home
CLEO has updated information about the rights of residents living in long-term care homes. In Ontario, long-term care homes must now follow a law called the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, which includes a Residents’ Bill of Rights.
Our new booklet Residents’ Bill of Rights: Your rights if you live in a long-term care home explains the rights in a way that’s easy to understand. It tells residents what they can do if their rights are not being followed and lists places that give legal help and information. You can order copies for free.
This booklet replaces Every Resident – Bill of Rights for people who live in Ontario long-term care homes.
