New Canada Child Benefit amounts

Steps to Justice has updated information on how much someone can get from the Canada Child Benefit. Now, the maximum amount someone can get is:

• $8,157 a year for each child under 6. It was $7,997.
• $6,883 a year for each child from 6 to 17 years. It was $6,748.

To get the maximum, the family’s net income must be less than $38,237.
