CLEO Guided Pathways Court Forms Study

This research project by CLEO, in partnership with McGill University and the Montreal Cyberjustice Laboratory and with funding from the Department of Justice, examines whether court forms completed using CLEO’s Guided Pathways differ in quality from forms completed using standard blank fillable PDFs.

The randomized controlled trial focuses on Family Law Rules Form 8: Application (General). Participants are randomly assigned to complete the Form 8 using either CLEO’s Guided Pathway (a free, online guided-interview tool) or the standard blank fillable form.

Everyone who completes the study receives 2 hours of free legal services with a family lawyer to review and correct their Form 8.
