Steps to Justice has updated information about the minimum wage increase that took effect on October 1, 2025.
The new minimum wage amounts are:
- Most jobs: $17.60 an hour
- Homeworker: $19.35 an hour
- Students 17 and younger: $16.60 an hour
New limits for small claims and housing cases
CLEO has updated information about:
- Small Claims Court and the Small Claims Court Guided Pathways
- the Landlord and Tenant Board and the Housing law Guided Pathways
As of October 1, 2025, people applying to either place can ask for up to $50,000. The limit used to be $35,000.
